I rescued Tigger in college (1997) from the Fort Collins Humane Society, picking her because she was sitting up in her litter box (I found that completely comical). She received her name because of the way she bounded around the house, very much like the Disney character. When I started working at preschools after graduation, the school let me bring her for the kids to enjoy. She especially loved kids and let them carry her around and hug her ever so passionately. As she got older, she tended to follow my kids around and ignore the adults. She was very vocal, being part Siamese and loved to walk around the house singing (sometimes to the annoyance of the rest of us). While we were waiting for hospice to arrive, she seemed a bit uncomfortable but welcomed being held in a towel and talked to. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.
